Why Am I Not Receiving Push Notifications?

There can be several reasons why you are not receiving push notifications. On this page we explain the most common causes.

However, keep in mind that each phone brand and model has its own features and quirks.

Network problems #

No connection #

Phones must have an Internet connection to receive notifications automatically. If your device is in any of these situations, push notifications will not appear until a proper connection is established:

  • Phone turned off.
  • In airplane mode.
  • With an unstable Internet connection.
  • With no Internet connection.

Firewall or VPN #

Sometimes push notifications can be blocked by a firewall on your network or by a VPN.

Battery optimization #

Many Android apps have battery optimizations that can delay the delivery of push notifications.

Below are the instructions to follow depending on your phone brand.
