Microphone Permission

The microphone access permission is a Visualfy Connect permission (on both Android and iOS).

It lets the Visualfy app access the microphone to transcribe speech to text, so that hearing and deaf people can communicate.

To enable this permission, follow the steps shown in the video:

On Android, if you tapped “Deny”, you can enable the permission as shown in the video below.

Enable the permission from your phone’s “Settings” #

If you denied this permission before, you can enable it from:

  • iOS: Settings -> Visualfy -> Speech Recognition -> turn on the switch
  • Android:
    • Tap the microphone button in Visualfy Connect.
    • Tap “Accept” in the message “To enable this option, go to your phone settings and enable the camera permission in the Visualfy app”.
    • The app settings screen opens. Go to: App permissions -> Microphone -> Allow

Another option is to go directly to: *Settings -> Apps -> Installed apps -> Visualfy -> App permissions -> Microphone -> Allow*.

What are your feelings
