Our Visualfy devices pick up the sounds around them. This could make you think they can capture information that identifies a person, or makes a person identifiable (that is, personal data). The algorithm developed by Visualfy picks up the sounds in the user’s own home and keeps them only for the time needed to translate each sound and classify it, so it detects the sound and translates it into a sound category (crying, alarm, etc.).
This means that the device anonymizes the information it receives, so today it is not possible to reverse the process and get the sound back: it only stores sound categories, not the sounds themselves.
