Loudspeaker Alert

The loudspeaker alert turns into text the announcements made over the building’s public address system and sends them to the phones of the subscribed people. This way, deaf and hard of hearing people don’t miss important announcements.

NOTE: this option only appears in the menu if the building has the transcription equipment installed. If there are several devices, the menu shows one for each area.

The screenshots show the Control Panel in Spanish. You can switch it to English in the user menu.

Opening the loudspeaker alert #

  1. Open the menu on the left.
  2. Tap “Loudspeaker Alert”.
  3. Wait until “Established connection succesfully” appears below the title.

Transcribing an announcement #

  1. Tap “Start” with the language you are going to speak, for example “Start: Spanish”. Only the languages set up on the device appear.
  2. Speak. The text appears in the box as you speak.
  3. You have 60 seconds. Below the title you see the time left; when it reaches 0, the transcription stops by itself.
  4. If you finish earlier, tap “Stop”.

The available languages are Spanish, Catalan, Galician, Basque and English.

Correcting and sending the announcement #

  1. When the transcription stops, “Review your message and press Send” appears.
  2. Correct the text in the box if a word is wrong.
  3. Tap “Send”. “Notification sent” appears and the box is cleared for a new announcement.

The subscribed people get the announcement on their phone with the title “Loudspeaker message!” and the text. If the box is empty, the announcement is not sent.
