With Visualfy you can choose a different sound for each type of alert. So you know what happened just by hearing it.
The sounds play on your phone speaker and also on your hearing aids or implant, if they are connected by Bluetooth.
Opening the notification sounds #
You can get there in two ways:
- In the top menu, tap “Settings” and then “Notification sounds”.
- In Places, open the “My buildings” tab and tap the gear button, above the “+”.
Sounds for Places alerts #
On the “Visualfy Places acoustic notification settings” screen, building alerts are in five groups. Each group has its own sound:
- Maximum priority: fire, gas, emergency and air quality.
- High priority: public address, closing time and services.
- Medium priority: appointment and doorbells.
- Low priority: telephone and, on Android, accessible SMS.
- Minimum priority: information notices.
To change the sound of a group:
- Tap the group.
- Choose a sound from the list.
- Go back. The group shows the sound you chose.
NOTE: each group must have a different sound. This way you can tell the alerts apart just by hearing them.
On Android #
- The list shows the ringtones of your phone.
- If you choose a ringtone that another group already has, the app warns you: “This sound is already selected in another channel. Please, select a different one.”
On iPhone #
- The list has the Visualfy sounds: Default, Aurora, Bamboo, Chord, Circles, Complete, Hello, Input, Keys, Popcorn, Pulse and Synth.
- Sounds that another group already has are shown in grey and can’t be chosen. “Default” can be repeated.
- The ⓘ button at the top opens this help page.
Sounds for other notifications (Android only) #
On Android you can also change the sound of notifications that are not from Places, such as Visualfy Home, reminders or the alarm clock:
- Open “Settings” → “Notification sounds”.
- Tap “Visualfy channels sound configuration”. The Visualfy notification settings of your phone open.
- Tap the type of notification you want and change its sound.
This screen belongs to Android, so it changes depending on the brand and version of your phone.
Hearing alerts on your hearing aids #
If you have hearing aids or an implant with Bluetooth, connect them to your phone to hear your building alerts on them. On the sounds screen, the app shows you a message to set them up. On Android, the “Setting up hearing aid” button opens the Bluetooth settings of your phone.
